End Child Prostitution And Trafficking: Integrated Campaign & Video
Role: CD/Copywriter

Ask most Americans about child prostitution, and the first place they'll think of is Thailand. The fact is it's happening in our own back yards. More than 200 000 American kids risk falling into prostitution every year. Ecpat (End Child Prostitution and Trafficking) wanted to raise awareness on the issue. So for National Child Abuse Prevention Month we created a Emma, a Russian nesting doll with a twist - and sent her to influencers and politicians using Facebook and Twitter to rally support.

Hundreds of nesting dolls, each one hand-painted in Russia, were sent to influencers and thought leaders.

A microsite explained the problem in depth and gave viewers avenues to act, either by donating or lobbying their local representative to become more engaged in the issue. It worked so well, the French ambassador to the U.S. asked JWT NY to help him address the issue in his own country.
